As you look back on 2010, remember all the great things that you've accomplished. Also take sometime to remember all the things you wanted to accomplish, but didn't get to. The above is a great exercise and will shed some light on changes you can make in the new year.
A friend of mine who works at a gym said, "January is the busiest month. Memberships increase, the gym is busier than ever. It's packed with new people and a great energy. But by February, the gym is almost back to normal, the new years rush is over." Why does this happen and what can you do about it? One major reason most people quit their new year's goals, is they simply lose interest. At first it's very important and always in your thoughts, but soon life catches up with you and several days go by with out thinking of your goals. Not thinking about or remembering your goals allows them to slip away. If we aren't thinking about them, then we aren't accomplishing them either. While playing sports in high school I was told to "keep your eyes on the prize". This is great advice for accomplishing anything important in life. As soon as you stop looking at and thinking about what you want. The natural next step is to slip into what's comfortable - your old patterns and behaviors. To keep yourself focused and accomplish those New Year's goals.... Keep Your Eyes on the Prize! The tips below are designed specifically to help keep your goals in front of you. If you see your goals on a regular basis, you are more likely to be motivated to work on them. As you consistently work on them, you will be moving closer and closer to accomplishment. People often say that motivation doesn't last.
1. Use your Computer.

5.Twice a Day.
Remember to keep it simple. Using the above tips should be an easy part of your routine. Pick one and give it a try. Keeping your goals in front of you on a regular basis will refresh your positive mind set. you still may hit a rough patch at times, but that's normal and setting up the reminders are like having a cheering section in your corner. They are there to support you. Good luck with your goals. I'm looking forward to an inspiring 2011.
